Stanley cup!!

I have never been the biggest fan of hockey, but when your home team is good enough to be one team away from having the cup, you can't help to be excited! This past weekend with the play offs really helped stimulate the Chicago pedicab economy and the west loop bars. The united center is a perfect place to be an example in how we win in the competion of effeciant transportation. The traffic was so backed up, that even in my tired state on sunday, i was passing cars. Most people wanted to go to the nearest bar, Westend or Crossroads. There were also people who took us to Olgolvie and Union station to catch the Metra trains. I personally on friday night got a mile and a half ride to this bar called English in river north.

Also, this past weekend was green fest at navy pier. With everyone ecofriendly minded it was easy to talk people in to a ride over to michigan ave or millineum park. Then, I cruised over to the first Mayfest of the year on Barry and Ashland just in time for it to let out and catch a racing fare over to Wellington and Halsted. Afterwards, I was on the grace of just riding around and catching random people walking through neighborhoods. I ended up calling it early do to the two pm Blackhawks game on sunday.

Sunday was ruff! Seeing that this past weekend was super busy, and the weather was stellar it left me sore, tired, and a bit hung over. Going and having two beers at 2am in the morning never works. None the less, i woke up and had a Gatorade with a five hour energy shot in it. I ended up getting there a bit late to work pregame, but still had a great time working Navy pier during the game. After the second period i went back over to United center to discover that the blackhawks came back from a 0 to 2 deficit to be up 3 to 2 and win the game 4 to 2. Sadly, I wasn't able to come out of my energy deficit and had to head home after two fares to the Metra station. I even had to turn down a dude, being like "i'll give you 20 bucks dude, just take us!", to instead get a salad at Earwax and limping home (pedaling really slow). Which leaves me here today laying on the the couch and resting up to start a home stand with the cubs vs dodgers tomorrow, and a huge weekend ahead of us with belmonth sheffield fest, cubs vs cards, memorial day weekend, and fireworks starting at navy pier. Can't wait! See ya on the roads of Chicago!

Your pedal cab driver,
Jimbob Love
